The Capital as viewed from the far side of the Capital Reflecting Pool

9-12-09 was an amazing day in the history of the United States. People came from all across America, representing every party, faith and race to protest the Federal government’s over spending and over taxing. The variety of signs were a symbol of not only our angst with the way the government is being run, but also our creativity and genius. Americans can solve the problems we face if the government would just get out of the way and let us do it.

JUST SAY “NO” to Big Government!

People as far as the eye can see standing up for Liberty!

People crammed onto the Metro. It took an hour to get our tickets then another hour to get into the city because of the crowds. Yeah!!!!!

We were told by locals that it hasn’t been that busy since the Inauguration!

As soon as we got off the Metro we were swept along with a sea of people marching down Pennsylvania  Avenue toward the Capital. We were chanting USA, spontaneously shouting reasons we were there and sharing our stories of joy to be there taking our stand against Big government and oppressive taxes.

People crammed in to hear a  great lineup of speakers.

Of the messages, “We’re not alone!” and “Yes we can take our country back!”

Could not have been happier to be among like minded citizens!
